Greg Mastagni
Estimator and Project Manager
Greg has worked alongside his father, Phil Mastagni, at Acme Construction Company, which was founded by his grandfather, Fred Mastagni, for 6 years. He graduated from Beyer High School in Modesto, received an AA degree from Modesto Junior College, and a BA in Communication from the University of the Pacific in Stockton. He excelled in sports and played intercollegiate baseball at both MJC and UOP prior to playing professional baseball for the Evansville Otters of the Frontier League.
His experience and expertise lies in construction management, bid estimation, SureTrack project scheduling, Project negotiations and marketing. As Estimator, Greg puts together a complete bid package for construction projects to be submitted to the Owner or Architect. This includes publishing projects to subcontractors for quotation, estimating Acme Construction Company?s labor and material for general conditions, concrete, and carpentry; and putting the general contractors bid proposal together to cover all areas of work as outlined in the plans and project manual.
As Project Manager, Greg takes a project from start of construction to occupancy. He reviews and organizes the submittals, solves construction problems, schedules the project, negotiates change orders, submits pay requests, and approves subcontractors and suppliers payments. He works with the project superintendent in the coordination of all areas of work for the successful completion of the project. He handles the project closeout including, obtaining all test and certification reports, warranties, lien releases, record drawings, operations and maintenance manuals, completion of architects punch lists, and obtaining certificate of occupancy from the government agency.
