Downey High School - Project Update - Wednesday January 21, 2009

Acme - We are finishing up in the 200''s north and moving into the gov. north to start wall framing in the restrooms. We will be moving into the 80''s wing to start the clerestory infill. We will also start the 80''s demo in the weeks to come . The field house is waiting on the toilet partitions, they are due here at the end of next week.
Patrias - Is in the gov. north installing the existing can lights. And in the 80''s doing lay out for demo
Pinasco - Is in the gov. north working on the plumbing rough-in in the restrooms and working on demo lay out in the 80''s.
DC Veint - Is painting the gov. wing and then they will move to the 200''s north to start prep work for paint.
Western - Is in the 200''s north working on the tack board. Rigid vinyl and the suspended ceiling.
APC - Has demoed the 200''s north roof and has started work on the 80''s roof.
Tru-Tech has started work on the 200''s north roof and they will follow the abatement crew into the 80''s wing.
In the weeks to come we will be moving into the 80''s wing to start lay out for demo. We will also be working on finishing up with the 200''s north. gov.north, weight room, and the field house.

Acme - Is currently in the gov. north woeking on restroom floors doing prep for concrete and in the weight room working on door hardware, wall in-fill. We are going through installing doors that were back ordered.
Patrias - Is in the gov. north, 200''s north, and weight room working on electrical rough-in and moving into the 80''s wing to do rough-in.
Pinasco - Is in the gov. north working on plumbing rough0in for the new restrooms and moving into the 80''s to start lay out for the floor demo.
DC Vient - Is patching wallpaper and painting interior of gov. north and also painting esterior of gov. bldg.
Modern Air - Is installing the new bard units at the 200''s north and weight room.
APC - Test were taken on the 80''s and passed. Now they are working on soft demo and in the next few days they will start to demo the 200''s roof and also the 80''s roof.
Kent Lathing - Is installing sheetrock in the 200''s north.
Western building - Is starting to install the rack board in teh 200''s north the eigid vinyl and suspended ceiling will follow.

Acme is working in the gov. bldg. installing interior doors and hardware, also working on the weight room framing in the clerestory and for bard units we are workign on the ramp in the weight room.
Patrias - is finished with the gov. bldg. south and have started electrical rough-in for the bard units.
DC VIent - is painting exterior of gov. and interior touch up of gov. south
Pinasco - is workign in the field house working on plumbing rough-in
APC - will finish the gov. north by 12-19-08 and run tests on 12-22-08 then they will move to the 200''s north to start containment for abatement and also do removal of base in the wieght room.
In the weeks to come we will be moving into the 200''s north/ gov. north/ 80''s east and also over winter break we will start work on the hallways with the polishing.

Acme - We are finished with 50''s wing and moving into the gov. bldg. installing esterior doors and hardware. We are also in the boys restroom of the 80''s wing rough framing and blocking. We are moving through out the site installing any doors that we have had back ordered. And we have also started working on the field house.
Patrias - Patrias has moved into the gov. bldg. doing electrical rough-in and installing wire mold. and in the 80''s restroom and field house also doing rough-in.
DC Vient - Vient is in the gov. bldg. patching walls with wall paper and painting. Painting exterior of any bldg. that we can paint at this time.
Modern Air - Modern is in the 80''s restroom installing exhaust fan and in the auditorium basement doing mechanical demo.
Pinasco - Pinasco is in the 80''s restroom doing rough plumbing and in the field house working on demo
In the weeks to come we will be working on the 80''s restroom. the gov. bldg painting, electrical, ceiling tile, carpet, doors and hardware. To meet our dead line for Christmas break we are also in the field house working on plumbing, electrical, and painting new doors and hardware. On the 12th we will also be moving into the weight room to start work.

We are finishing our work on the 50''s wing rough-in and now starting back on out finish electrical, tack board, ridged vinyl, paint and carpet, and the teachers restrooms, sheetrock, tile, epoxy floors, toilets, sinks, urinals, doors and paint. We are preparing to start working on the gov. bldg. after APC in sinished with abatement.

We will also be starting on the 50''s wing. APC will have abatement and containment finished by 10-17-08 and by the following Monday we will be in the 50''s working.

Modern Air - Installing new duct work and insulating throughout administration building. Thursday and Friday morning our new MUA units will be arriving for the gym and we will be installing them on Tuesady morning to take advantage of the minimum day.
Patrias - Working in the administration building installing new plugs, switched, wire mold. Pulling wire inthe tunnels and connecting a/c units.
Pinasco - Connecting gas lines to all the bard units that were installed. Installing new hot water lines in the training room in the boys locker room. Relocating the new boiler from th girls locker room to the existing boiler room.

We will be ready to turn over the boys and girls gym on 9-2-08 to allow students to dress out and coaches to move in. However we eill still have some loose ends to deal with such as installing a/c units. brad units, thermostats. We will try to take care of them before or after school or when kids are not present.

A.P.C = APC turned over the 70's and 80's wings to Acme on 7-8-08 and moved over to the library to start containment for abatement. Abatement continued int he boys and girls locker rooms. Gutter removal throughout phase 1.

Acme - Continue work on the canopy. Start work in the 80's wing, building walls. Infill at clearstory. Working at gym. Blocking for the mechanicals. Build platforms on roof for new units.
Pinasco - Continue installing new gas. layout in restrooms for demo.
Patrias - 70's and 80's rough in new conduit. Fire alarm.
Modern Air - Gym layout. Working in library and Administration building.

Acme - continue to work on canopy sidewalk. Demo windows in the boys and girls locker room for new mechanicals. Build platforms on the boys and girls gym roof. At the 80's west wing - start new walls infill clearstory windows.
Pinasco - Continue to install new gas line at the 70's, 80's, library, admin building, and gym. Layout in bathrooms for demo and saw-cut.
Modern Air- Demo the boys and girls gutter and duct. Start exhaust and interior exposed duct work in the locker room. Layout for exhaust fan mechanical platform.
Patrias - Fire alarm in library. Dig trench norht of the 80's for the new electrical. finish backfill at the gym.
A.P.C. - Demo in the 80's building is 90% complete. Start containment in the 70's west for abatement. Demo high roof at the boys and girls fym. Start containtment for abatement in the boys and girls locker room.

Patrias - Dig trench / Install conduit and backfill by the 50's wing / Install conduit in boys and girls locker room for the new fire alarm / Demo AC Electrical on Administration Building.
Modern Air - Boys and girls locker room layout for mechanical / Demo exposed duct at the Administration Building / Layout the AC for demo in Library.
Pinasco - Installing new gas line for Phase I.
